Government of Denmark Scholarship Details
The University of Copenhagen (UCPH) offers a limited number of tuition waivers and grants through the Danish Government Scholarship programme. These scholarships are competitive and are offered to highly talented students with outstanding academic records from non-EU/EEA countries. All non-EU/EEA applicants offered admission will automatically be considered for the scholarship.
- Selection Basis: Scholarships are awarded solely based on academic achievement. Financial need is not considered.

Government of Denmark Scholarship 2025 Requirements
To be considered for the Government of Denmark Scholarships, you must:
- Be a citizen of a country outside the EU, EEA (the European Economic Area), or Switzerland.
- Be admitted to a master’s degree programme at the University of Copenhagen.
- Be granted a time-limited residence permit for the purpose of studying a higher educational programme in Denmark.
- Meet the admission requirements.
Government of Denmark Scholarship Duration and Reward 2025
The Danish Government Scholarship can be granted as either:
- Full or partial tuition fee waivers.
- An amount that covers basic living costs.
Method of Application
To apply for the Government of Denmark Scholarship 2024, interested and qualified applicants should follow these steps:
- Visit the University of Copenhagen Scholarship Webpage: CLICK HERE TO APPLY
- Apply for a Master’s Degree at the University of Copenhagen: All non-EU/EEA applicants to the University of Copenhagen’s MA/MSc degree programmes will automatically be considered for the Danish Government Scholarship, provided they are eligible.
- Automatic Consideration: It is not necessary to apply separately for the scholarship. The University of Copenhagen will contact those who are nominated through DANS’ application portal.
- Accepting the Scholarship: If you are offered a scholarship, you must accept it within the specified deadline, or the offer will be revoked and given to another applicant.
