The HKU Summer Research Internship 2025 offers participants an immersive

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Academic
Excellence:
- Undergraduate
students in their third or fourth year with a minimum CGPA of 3.6.
- Master’s
degree students holding a First-Class Honours Bachelor’s degree.
- Research
Potential: Demonstrated interest in research postgraduate studies and
relevant experience.
- Language
Proficiency: High English proficiency is essential.
Selection is based on academic achievements, research experience, and
motivation to pursue further studies.
Benefits of the Program
- One-to-One
Mentorship:
Each participant will collaborate with a professor who will guide them
through their research project. The program office ensures participants

- Scholarship:
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a
scholarship of HK$10,000.

of airfare costs up to HK$5,000.
- Accommodation
support up to HK$5,000 for participants requiring university housing.

for accommodation reimbursement.)

- Conditional PhD

Top-performing participants with excellent academic records may be granted
conditional offers for the HKU Presidential PhD Scholarship, which
includes financial packages of up to HK$433,300 (US$55,560) in the first
year and HK$413,300 (US$52,990) for subsequent years.
