About the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP)

The Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) provides funding to higher education providers (HEPs) to support both domestic and international students pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees.

Funding is allocated annually for Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) programs, with the following objectives:

  • Provide flexible funding arrangements to support both domestic and international students undertaking HDRs at Australian universities.

Eligibility Criteria for the 2025 RTP Scholarship
