The Rhodes Scholarship is one of the world’s most prestigious international scholarship programs. It offers outstanding students from around the globe the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford.
Rhodes Scholars are chosen based on exceptional intellect, leadership, character, and a commitment to service.
Originally available only to students from select countries, the Rhodes Trust has now expanded the program globally through the Global Rhodes Scholarships, allowing students from anywhere in the world to apply.
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
You can apply for the Global Rhodes Scholarship if you're not eligible through an existing Rhodes constituency. If you have links to a Rhodes region but don’t qualify, consider applying through inter-jurisdictional consideration.

For medical, dental, law, engineering, or similar programs:
Aged 18–25 (born after 1 October 1999 and before 2 October 2007).
If you completed your undergraduate degree later than usual:
You must be under 27 (born after 1 October 1998), and must have completed your degree on or after 1 October 2024.
You must have completed (or be on track to complete) an undergraduate degree. A First Class Honours Degree or equivalent is highly recommended due to competitive Oxford admissions.
You must meet Oxford's higher-level English language requirements unless:
English is your first language, and
You are a citizen and resident of a majority English-speaking country.
