The 2024 University of Newcastle Excellence Scholarships are now open to interested, qualified students who want to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Australia.

The scholarship is an award of $48,000 payable over tuition for four (4) academic years to selected students, making the University of Newcastle one of the more affordable options for studying in Australia.

Scholarships will automatically be awarded to students who receive an offer to study in an eligible program and commence studying at the University of Newcastle in 2024.

University of Newcastle Excellence Scholarship  over review :

The University of Newcastle International Excellence Scholarship has been established to attract high-performing international students to the University of Newcastle for study in 2025 and beyond.

The scholarship is a merit-based scholarship that recognises applicants with a strong academic background and incentivizes them to continue striving to be the best that they can be.

Scholarships will automatically be awarded to students who have received an offer to study in an eligible program and who will commence studying with the University of Newcastle.

 Requirements for the University of Newcastle Excellence Scholarship:

To be considered for the University of Newcastle scholarship, you must:

·       Be an International full-fee paying student.

·       Be commencing study in an eligible CRICOS-registered undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree priority program at the university (see above for eligible programs).

·       Not be the beneficiary of a separate University scholarship unless prior approval for special dispensation has been obtained from the university.

·       Be able to meet the financial obligations of a full fee-paying international student specified by the Australian Government. Evidence of this ability must be provided if requested by the university.

University of Newcastle Excellence Scholarships Duration and Reward

·       The annual scholarship value is AUD 6000. As a course unit value (based on 10 units) this is AUD 750 per course.

·       The maximum value would be AU$24,000 over a full-time 4-year degree.

All CRICOS-registered undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree priority undergraduate and Master’s programs offered by the university are eligible for the University of Newcastle International Excellence Scholarships.
