World Bank Yokohama National University
Scholarship Details: Yokohama National University (YNU), in
collaboration with the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program
(JJ/WBGSP), is offering the Master's Degree Program in Infrastructure
Management (IMP) for the 2025-2027 academic session. This esteemed program,
supported by the Government of Japan and administered by the World Bank, aims
to equip professionals from developing countries with advanced knowledge and
skills in infrastructure management.
Eligibility Criteria:
· Nationality:
Applicants must be nationals of a World Bank member country eligible for
financing. Dual citizens of developed countries are ineligible.
· Academic
Background: Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
with superior academic performance, earned at least three years before the
scholarship application deadline.
· Work
Experience: A minimum of three years of recent, full-time professional
experience in development-related work after earning a Bachelor's degree is
required. Exceptions apply for applicants from countries on the World Bank’s
“Harmonized List of Fragile Situations.”
· Health:
Applicants must be in good health.
· Exclusions:
Applicants who are Executive Directors, staff, or close relatives of World Bank
or IMF personnel are not eligible.
Benefits:
· Monthly
Allowance: Approximately JPY 170,000 to JPY 200,000.
· Tuition
Coverage: Includes tuition fees, entrance examination fees, and
admission fees.
· Travel
Expenses: Round-trip airfare to and from Japan and a travel allowance
for initial relocation.
· Health
Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance coverage.
